NOTE TO SELF – Don’t Schedule 4 Hours of Audio & Video Training On The Day You Are Having Your Office Roof Replace!?
I stayed up until 5:00 AM listening to an enlightening training.
My plan was to get up around 10:00 or 11:00, and video tape until Dawn & I needed to leave around 4:00 to meet my middle daughter and her family at one of our favorite hole in the wall BBQ joints.
At 7:15 it sounded like a group of paratroopers from the movie Red Dawn landed on my roof. “What in the world is going on?” I thought to myself for ½ second. “Oh yeah, this is the day the roofing team is coming. I was thinking that was tomorrow… oh yeah, it is tomorrow” was the internal conversation I had… Continue reading
At the time of this writing I have been very busy working on projects for consulting clients and the holidays. I had not been on Facebook or checked my email in several days, and when I did log on it was like a bomb with Phil Roberson’s picture had exploded on Facebook. Thousands of post of support for Phil, the show, and outrage directed at the A&E network for suspending him.
So I took the time to actually read the GQ article to see what all the fuss was about. Quite frankly I was in shock that such a stink had been raised by someone who shares simply shared his personal beliefs while quoting the Bible.
This facebook post kinda says where we have landed as a country.
I understand that you are never… Continue reading
For over 25 years I have tried to communicate to network marketers that the industry is about leadership and leadership development. It has very little to do with sells or products or services. Companies and organizations rise and fall on based upon leadership.
Leadership and being politically correct don’t belong in the same ozone as far as I am concerned. You must know what you believe as it relates to how to build an organization and stick to your principals, concepts, and wisdom of the ages.
The network marketing world, the political world, the world in general needs more leaders! Networkers, STOP READING BOOKS on Vitamins and Herbs and start reading books on Leadership!

Ten years ago I can remember a conversation I had in Orlando, Florida with a marketing friend of mine.
The topic, when did it become ok to blatantly lie to people in your marketing and promotions?
Ten years later and it is worse than it has ever been. I had a conversation this week with a popular trainer who said Dale, if you don't promise people $10,000 a month in 30 days or less you can't even get their attention.
That is one of the reason you see all these mlm guru trainers promising people they will teach them how to sponsor 30 people in 30 days and other outlandish claims. Most people have to know that is not true, don’t they?
How can anybody make such a claim when they know nothing about… Continue reading
The responsibility of a network marketing leader is to
tell people the truth.
It appears that most people in the industry with leadership
titles have found that it is much easier to tell people what
they want to hear, not what they need to hear.
We should have cultures that inspire and challenge people
to grow, learn, and become better. Instead we seem to be
telling people to have fun, watch TV, play on your lap top
and become rich.
Has the industry become a reflection of our culture?
About 15 years ago I saw this trend towards excepting
mediocrity begin in our industry. Below is an article I wrote
for a publication that goes out to MLM company owners
and coporate officers.
Today, it appears that no one read it… Continue reading
