As is relates to website traffic, my foundational belief is “go where the traffic already is”.  That is why we teach various methods for creating webstie traffic from poplular websites like eBay, Craigslist, Facebook, YouTube,  Amazon,  etc.

When in doubt, focus on these popular websites and learn how to piggy back on their enormous website traffic.

With that said, here are 10 more lesser know type websites that can provide you consistent traffic.

10 Untapped Traffic Sources

1. Image/Photo Sharing

There are many image sharing sites, such as, where you can share your images (in any niche) and include a link to your own
site/blog. Here’s a complete list of photo sharing sites you can use: ****************************************************

Did you know, that you can share a .doc or .pdf files with your link
included inside the document? These doc sharing sites gets a decent
amount of traffic and can bring you some nice amount of visitors to your site/blog in a short period of time. Here’s a top 20 document sharing sites:

3. traffic.

eBay is one of the biggest internet sites on the internet. And as with
other big sites out there, there’s always a way to get a slice of that
traffic. You can do this by selling reports and e-books you write in
your niche (write some useful how-tos and sell them for very low price, the point in this case is the traffic, not the money). Also you can
create an about page , where you can put a link to your blog/site.

Craiglist is the most trafficked classified ad site on the internet.
I’ll be honest with you, I haven’t used craiglist yet, however I’ve
heard some incredible success stories who cracked the code of craiglist.

One thing to keep in mind, that most of the CPA networks don’t accept  craiglist traffic, so your best option is to send them to a squeeze page, build a list and then promote stuff through email marketing.

Craiglist traffic can work for any niche: bizz-op, dating, free stuff, local lead gen.. you name it.  We have been running successful biz opp ads on craigs list and back page for years.

You can also try these classified ad sites:

If you have not yet seen the video about the new killer backpage posting software, you can watch it here:

6. Misspelled domain traffic

This goes more into the grey hat area. I’m not doing this nor do I
recommend, however I’ll cover this anyway if you want to take a risk:)

Miss-speled traffic is essentially a traffic that comes from
missspelled web addresses. For example, there are millions of people everyday typing into the address bar, a small % of these people sometimes make a mistake and put by mistakenly clicking “pp” instead of “oo”. So, if you owned I bet you’d received a great amount of traffic every single day. Get the point?

This is just an example, however you can still use this idea on other
websites. Here’s a hint: trending events. Such us popular movies. At
this moment when I’m writing this article, The Dark Knight Rises is all
over the place. Having this in mind, you can buy all sort of variation
domain names:, and etc.

I’m not 100% guarantee you will see traffic with this, however if the website or the event is super popular, I’ve no doubt you will see some traffic coming in.  At one time I have 30 domain names like this, that I directed to affiliate products or lead capture pages. It is hard to say how much money I have made re-directing missspelled domains over the years.   There is a science to picking these domains that I cover in detail in my course  21 Ways to Create Online MLM Leads.

7. Coupon traffic

If your business offer coupon codes for your product or services (and
I highly recommend you do), don’t forget coupon directories. People
love discounts and coupons. is a living example. Make sure you add your coupons to the following coupon/deal of the day
directories: (Forum) (Forum)

Above sites are hugely popular and get incredible amount of traffic
everyday. Don’t have a coupon code yet? I’m gonna write a whole post on creating a coupon code for your product/service very soon.

Coupons are great not just because it increases conversions, but succesfully combining it with social/incentive aspects, your coupon code can go viral at the speed of light.

8. Podcasting traffic

People love video, but they also love audio too. Podcasting is a
great way if you are shy in front of the camera and feeling more
comfortable talking in to the microphone.

Podcasting can be used for any niche. What I like about podcasting is that it highly improves your credibility and authority. Especially if you are interviewed by other person. Very powerful stuff. (podcast category) (Christian) (Blackberry) (Zune)

9.Tutorial traffic

Tutorials are a HUGE untapped traffic source online. If you have a
website related to graphic design, wordpress, web development, SEO, marketing, or programming, then you can use tutorials to send thousands of visitors to your website.

Some of the popular tutorial sites: (Graphics/Photo/Programming) (Web design and marketing) (photoshop, coding, video, etc) (computer related) (Programming) (web, video, audio, etc) (photoshop and coding) (Design) (Web design) (Graphics related)

(there are dozens more)

10. Ebook traffic

There are plemty free and paid ebook sharing website where you can upload your own eBook.

Here are some of them: (Free ebooks category) (Free ebooks category) (Kindle version)

Master the most popular websites first like eBay, Craigslist, Backpage, and YouTube.  stay at it.  If you are going to be a marketer in todays world learning how to actually be productive and market online is becoming more and more important.

Playing around on Facebook is not marketing your product, service, or opportunity.  “To thine own self be true”.   Learning online marketing is not difficult.  Find the right teacher and the right marketing method and learn and master it, BEFORE moving on the the next concept.
MASTERY doesn’t seem to be part of the English language any longer.  It is a long forgotten concept that is greatly needed in today’s markeging world.
