I apologize for almost becoming a low level redneck entrepreneur

Hi,

 I have had a great week and I hope you have to. I have finally found some good people that I feel will be very instrumental in helping me expand and grow my business.  At one time I had 3 full time website developers and programmers on my team.

 

When I moved from Dallas a couple of years, I ran a skeleton crew in the office which consisted only of family members.   A lot of my websites were neglected during this time, and several projects were put on the back burner.

 

Since I moved back home, I have been in a constant state of frustration, trying to find competent website design and programming help.  You just wouldn’t believe the challenges! 

 

Several times I have felt like throwing in the towel, I have told my wife, it would be very easy for me to just forget it and turn into a low level red neck entrepreneur! 

Kentucky is full of these type people, and I mean absolutely no disrespect, they are great hearted people.

However it has been very frustrating trying to find good help.  I have had to make do, and dealt with a lot of rookies, and subbed projects out to people from Twain, China, and Indiana. 

It has been a constant search since I got home to find the right players for the team.  However this week I THINK  ( and hope and pray) a lot of things have come together and some competent people have fallen into place!

 
I got an email today, which was very disturbing to me, and really the purpose for this post.  Let me share it with you before I go any further.

Hi Dale  George Jason here from Utah, we have talked a couple of times over the phone

I just finished watching Jim Rohn's 3 Basic Laws DVD’s for about the 8th time since I got them a few weeks ago.

You are right, I have never heard or seen Jim any better.  The message is powerful; as a matter of fact about 40 people from my group are coming over tomorrow for a cookout and to watch the seminar. ( I know this is  going to help many of them get over the summer slump and explode into the fall)

I just want to say I appreciate you making this training available to the MLM Community and not keeping it to yourself.

PS  I noticed you changed the look of the 3 Basic Laws site. It looks a 100% better.  I probably should not tell you this, but the look of the site originally almost kept me from ordering.

If I hadn’t heard of you, and your reputation I probably would have passed.  The new site looks good and now maybe more people will have the chance to experience this training.

If you have anymore gems in the vault, keep them coming!

I realize that since I have moved back home, out of frustration and aggravation I have accepted a level of performance from people that I normally would never accept!

I know why, and I will explain in a minute.

However today I have had a major paradigm shift.  Partly because I have found some good people to add to my team, but mostly because of the PS in the above email.  

It really bothers me to think, that people could miss the benefits that I know the DVD’s featured on www.3BasicLaws.com can provide……..all because the website looked amateurish. 

I have to admit, that the last few websites we have produced feature some awesome products that can make a major positive difference on peoples business.

It frustrates me to know end to think, some people could miss the opportunity to benefit because I have accepted a standard below what I would normally require. 

I am thrilled with the new look at www.3BasicLaws.com and you will see major updates over the next few weeks to  www.NewspaperSponsoring.com , www.MLMRetention.com and several other sites.

I have to sincerely apologize to any of you who have not taken advantage of the training programs promoted on these sites or any others because the websites are not what they could and should be.

Now, the email I received today has given me a major paradigm shift.  But let me give you my excuse for never paying much attention to the appeal or lack their of, when it came to website design, or the design of courses and materials for that matter.

Who is the number one marketer in the United States in your opinion?

My vote would be for Dan Kennedy, hands down.  ( www.GuruDan.com )

 

Dan is not an internet marketer or network marketer, he is an information marketer. 

Dan’s ideas and philosophies are behind hundreds of multi-million $$$ earning information product businesses.  In my opinion, he is #1 in the world.

2^nd Question

What marketers training programs look the worst, graphically?

Again, without question, in my opinion Dan Kennedy.  If you have ever ordered anything from Dan, you know exactly what I am talking about.  

Most of his training programs consist of BLOCK LETTER TITLES TYPED ON PAPER and INSERTED INTO THE Slip cover of binders and CD’s

See for Dan, it is all about the content, the information!

A couple of years ago I bought 500 Audio CD’s from a network marketer for $1.00 each.  The CD’s sold normally for $14.97.  The slip covers looked good, 4 color and shrink wrapped, but a single word on back was misspelled, so he was going to take a huge loss an sell all of them to me for only a buck each. 

At the time, I simply could not understand this marketer making such an issue about nothing, in my mind.  Talk about major in minors!

The CD is awesome, the information is great, and nobody was going to learn a thing from reading the back of the slip cover!

To date I have sold over 200 and not one person has complained because the back cover has a misspelled word!

Regardless, the email today jarred me quite a bit.   Reputation and content may not always be the deciding factor.  

Websites promoting products and services need to be held to a certain standard as well as graphic design of training packages.

So I apologize to any of my readers who have not had the opportunity to benefit from Jim Rohn’s 3 Basic Laws Training or any of the other courses we offer because our websites were designed by newbies.  I didn’t feel it mattered, reputation and content were always in the forefront of my mind. 

So I apologize to you.  I promise you that you are going to see some positive change in several of my sites, and all new products we introduce in the future.

If you decide not to take advantage of a product or service we offer, it won’t be because our websites create red flags in your mind!
