In July 2015 I had a major shift in my thinking and
I won’t bore you with the details here.
However I did call four people that I knew would give me
honest feedback on my thoughts, and who I knew had been
around long enough to give me honest feedback on my
thoughts.
I called Robert Blackman, Ron Henley and a couple of other
associates.
Ron shared with me to a video by the great Larry Thompson,
that helped me formulate what I was feeling in greater
details and actually name it.
As a result, Ron and I ended up conducting the webinar
above. If you have been involved in the network marketing
industry 10+ years you should be able to relate with this
information on a deep, emotional level.
Through all of this, I understood as human beings we are
always part of the problem, or part of the solution.
I throw up a little in my mouth every time I hear a “MLM
Guru” spout off about how great the network marketing
industry is, and how bright the future is.
Do they really believe that, or is it there way of making
sure their next seminar is full? Honestly, I don’t know
what they are thinking. I believe one of the first steps
to building profitable futures is learning from our past
mistakes.
As Ron talks about in the above training. Getting away
from core principles and fundamentals always creates
unintended consequences.
I do believe that those who enbrace and teach the fundamentals
of this business model, and taper down the rah rah fluff, have
an the opportunity to build significant teams and income in
the future with basically little competition.
However I also know, that the path the industry as a whole
has been on over the past 15 plus years, cannot continue
and ultimately leads nowhere.
“If you build people, people will build the business”
It is my hope that every leader who sees the above recorded
webinar, will pause, reflect, and question that amount of
direction they are providing each member that enters their
team.
Leadership is not a title, it is a responsibility, especially
in the network marketing profession, because our real product
is PEOPLE!
