"Stop chasing skills and start building systems. Learn to outsource work to the highest performing/lowest price option. People with skills work for rich people with ideas"
Jim Cockrum
As many of you know, I have over 100 different websites in various niche markets and to date, I have not built one of them. I don't even know how to design a banner ad. My technical skills are very limited. I can do basic task, but nothing else, and my lack of knowledge in
this area is by design. To not become self-educated in the techical aspects was a conscious decision on my part.
Yes many times over the years I have considered taking a course on html programming, or website design but I have reframed. My personal education time is better spent testing marketing and lead generation ideas than it is learning how to use Front Page or some other software program.
I understand, many of our readers are tech savy and they are telling themself as they read this, Dale come on, you could learn Front Page in a day. Listen, I understand, I am sure I could, however for all of us, our time is the most valuable asset we have.
I have always believed as business people it makes sense to let the experts do what they do. I also know that my mind is not geared towards programming or design at all. I would much rather find reliable, honest, creatvie people that I can outsource those jobs to and let me do what I do which is build and develop systems.
To become successful in any business model you will nead basic skill sets, in network marketing you need a ton of skill sets. But in any business more than anything you need proven systems. I am a systems guy, always have been and always will be.
Listen, I have some friends that are very techie, but also wonderful marketers. I am not saying you can't be both. But when given a choice, spend your personal education time on learning marketing systems, trending business models, and lead generation. In the long run you will be much better off.
For those of you that are have technical skills, there are a ton of people like me that want to hire you. I outsource work to people all over the world. I have a young lady in Bangladesh who has been working for me for nearly two years. She places 30 ads a day for me on websites like Craigslist and Backpage. Every Tuesday, I send her a new ad, and payment via paypal. Our system works like clock work and she is just one of many virtual assistants on my payroll.
If you have technicle skills, you can use them to make money, sitting at home with your laptop. If this is of interest to you, these videos are a good place to start.
