Chances are you’re probably failing in
your Network Marketing Program
Chances are you spending more on your
companies products than you have earned.
And chances are unless you do something to
break the cycle you will probably always fail.
These are HARSH but true realities for 70%
of network marketers, real estate agents,
insurance reps, online marketers or any other
profession that requires skill sets and mindset
development.
So why is that?
It is easier to punch a clock or show up and be
told what to do somewhere than it is to discipline
yourself to focus and learn new information.
I’m going to tell you this has more to do with your
habits more than methods you’re attempting to utilize.
Those who try to sell homes, cars, or insurance, or
build MLM teams with the skill sets and mindsets they
enter the industries with will fail 70% of the time.
Most of US, yes I fall into this group also,
are not working to our maximum potential.
In fact, most of us are operating at such a
miserable percent of our capability that its
downright sickening.
Dang near every entrepreneur on earth
has at least some ADD..its just part of
who we are but there are times when
mine goes out of control at time.
There are ways to control it and to maintain
focus when you are disciplined enough.
So here’s the scoop…
I don’t know where you are at in your
life or career right now.
I don’t know if you are making six figures
a month, or if you’re on the verge of losing
your family home.
What I do know is if you’re not focused
on what you’re doing you’re going to find
it very difficult to make any progress.
So here’s a little exercise I want you to
try if you find yourself struggling with
focus and attention to the project at hand.
Action Plan
I want you to pick two tasks that you
think are essential to building your
business to the level you strive for.
Set aside 1 hour each day to work on
these tasks.
It my be mastering lead generation,
improving your leadership abilities,
communicating better with your team.
I don’t care how much more time you
think you could be working on it..just
start with an hour.
I Think of your attention span like a muscle
that you have to build up over time.
As you strengthen it you will be able to
focus for longer and longer periods.
NO DISTRACTIONS!
During those this hour I want you to
turn off all distractions.
Yes, I mean absolutely all distractions.
This includes tvs, cell phones, ipads,
facebook, twitter, skype, email, etc.
It should be as though you are totally
disconnected from the world.
Under absolutely NO circumstances
should you stop what you are doing
during this hour to check on
the outside world (unless its a bonafide
emergency of course, use your common
sense here).
If you actually do this exercise six days
a week that will allow you 6 focused
hours of work each week.
I’m willing to go out on a limb here and
say that you’ll accomplish more in those
6 hours than you have in the last month
combined even if you normally spend
40 hours a week at your desk.
Why It Works?
Your mind is programmed to naturally
avoid painful or unpleasant tasks.
It does this by procrastinating which
means that it escapes, even if only for
a short while, from this unpleasant task.
You find yourself playing around on facebook
or some TV Movie Star Tabloid Blog.
If you allow yourself 1 hour to
complete the work you’ll also stop your
mind’s ability to tell you that there will
be time later to do this thing.
Trust me, it won’t be easy at first but
over time you develop a stronger focus
level which also means you’ll find yourself
much more capable of churning out high
quality work in less time while spending
more time doing the things you enjoy.
Listen for the last several years I spent one
hour every morning promoting various
websites, books, training course, etc that
we provide. After I learned what activities,
ads, etc produce conisitenet results I was able
to outsource them to a virtual assistant. So I
can foucs on learning new skill sets with that
hour every day.
If you want to learn more about why we
procrastinate then you can check out the
same book that helped me understand.
Its called “The Now Habit” by the author
Neil A. Fiore. You can pick it up over on
Amazon for something like ten bucks.

Anyway, long post I know which I guess
is actually a bit ironic since its about focus
but I hope you got something out
of it.
