Paul Orberson, ex-coach who made millions in network marketing, dies at 56 By Linda B. Blackford
Paul Orberson, the charismatic founder of one of the country’s largest network marketing companies, one that later came under federal scrutiny, died Thursday. He was 56.
State Sen. Alice Forgy Kerr said Mr. Orberson died of cancer, which he had suffered from a decade earlier.
“He was an outstanding man, and so generous,” said Kerr, who attended Calvary Baptist Church with Mr. Orberson for many years. “He really was an amazing man. He had so much success in different areas, but he was so fun and folksy, he made everyone around him have fun.”
University of Kentucky men’s basketball coach John Calipari visited him at the hospital in October as Mr. Orberson entered hospice care, and he wrote on his blog about being inspired… Continue reading
If you missed the segment and interview with Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos on 60 minutes last night, it is something that every entrepreneur should see, so here it is:
As many of you know we have been recommending that marketers find a way to tap into the power of Amazon for several years. We always try to practice what we teach and preach. When I first started publishing some of our MLM training manuals on Amazon’s Kindle platform there were only a handful of Kindle books available on Amazon. At the time of this writing there are hundreds, in the near future there will be thousands.
We have been selling some of our training DVD programs, like Confessions of a Network Marketing Millionaire on Amazon for several years.
For the last three to four years we have been having Amazon… Continue reading
Honestly, when I stated in the industry over 30 years ago, I wanted to quit almost every day. I had absolutely known of the skillsets and mindsets it takes to develop a network marketing team. All I had was persistence and credibility from the stand point that people could depend on me to do what I said I was going to do, and support them and tell them the truth. Remember I was 20 years old, so how much credibility can a twenty year old really have, but I was blessed with an extra dose of determination and I just knew that if other people with average intelligence had built a team, then I could.
The truth is, most business models can be learned by average people if they want it bad enough. It doesn’t take God given talents or… Continue reading

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Yes I appreciate Christmas and the real meaning behind the commercialization but Thanksgiving is my favorite. Over the years I have learned how to be thankful and ambitious at the same time. Jim Rohn was the first person I heard talking about this concept of being thankful and ambitious.
For many people it is one or the other, but learning to be both will make a positive impact for you and those you care about.
My main reason for this post is just to say THANK YOU!
If it wasn’t for YOU, I wouldn’t get to do what I do for a living.
Nothing is more frightening to me than the thought of being stuck somewhere to a job that I can’t stand. Thankfully I walked out of IBM in 1985 and have never had… Continue reading
Yes, I believe that most people do business with those they know, like, and trust, but knowledgeable entrepreneur’s know better!
Yes, I purchase insurance, get my dry cleaning done, eat at some local Mom & Pop Restaurants, have my lawn work done by someone I know like and trust. However when it comes to learning business models or marketing ideas, knowing, liking, and even trusting people is really not something that enters my mind. I believe knowledgeable entrepreneur’s have the ability to separate business and day-to-day living. Joining somebody’s business ONLY because you know them, like them, and trust them really doesn’t make sense.
We are talking about business, we are talking about YOUR financial future!
When it comes to business, knowledgeable entrepreneur’s just want three questions… Continue reading

Make no mistake about it, I believe network marketing is about “Wealth Creation”, and has very little to do with making extra income. I have always advised people that want to make a few hundred extra dollars a month go sell hammers and tools at the flea market or something. In other words there are easier ways to make a few hundred extra dollars a month than trying to learn the skill sets and mindsets it takes to build a network marketing team.
When I say things like this it infuriates many network marketing Ambassadors. However I have never seen myself as someone who is “sold out” to the network marketing business model. I understand that it is not for everyone. I also believe my obligation is to help people break the 9 -5 rat race if… Continue reading
