I was telling someone on the phone today, that I have been involved in network marketing over 30 years, and for the first time in a long time I really heard that statement.
30 years??
My gosh I have been doing this a long time. I can remember
when I use to say 5 years, 10 years, 15 years etc.
Tonight I logged on Facebook, I was looking for a picture of my
granddaughter losing her first tooth.
Obviously, it doesn’t get much cuter than that, does it?
Anyway, on my Facebook newsfeed I happen to catch the
post below from Shannon Denniston.
Shannon is a well known figure in the network marketing industry. It is humbling to know that he started his career with our company… Continue reading
A Network Marketing Organization is Built Between Your Ears.
In the old days, they would refer to network marketing as a personal development program with a compensation plan attached to it. Today, we seem to be trying to take average people with a mindset of mediocrity and transform them as they are into network marketing professionals.
You can’t send a duck to Eagle school! They can get their eagle certificate, their eagle badge and their eagle cap. You can parade them across the stage and let them shake the CEO’s hand, but all you really have is a dressed up duck!
I am not trying to be harsh or cruel, just realistic.
As a leader in network marketing you have two choices. One, develop a following. Two, develop leaders. There is no question that it… Continue reading
The people over at Webster contacted me and asked me
to provide a definition of the term "MLM Leader" …….
NOT REALLY ! But if they did this is what I would say:
A MLM Leader is not determined by their title, position, longevity or even the size of their team or commission checks, but by their ability to help team members move forward & continuously identify and jump their personal growth hurdles until they have developed the skill sets and mind sets necesary to reach their desired destination.
This week I had a Diamond leader in the company I work with ask me, Dale what are your favorite personal development books? As I was putting together the list, I realized what a positive impact these books had on me over the years. At age 20 I set a goal to read 20 books a year, and I have maintained that pace for the past 30 years. Wow I am getting old :), so when I made my list of 20 it was a real experience.
So why am I sharing this with you?
Oh course my list consisted of the classics like Think & Grow Rich, The Magic of Thinking Big, & The Magic or Believing which 70% of the people that visit this website have probably read. Here is my point. There were… Continue reading
I heard all my life as a kid…
“If first you don’t succeed, try, try again!”
Don’t let a first-time failure stop further attempts.
For example, I know it’s hard at first to shift gears
without stalling but if at first you don’t succeed . . .
This seemingly ancient adage was first recorded in 1840.
If first your don’t succeed, try, try again.

“The only difference between a Big Shot and a Little
Shot is a Little Shot is a Big Shot that Kept Shooting!”
I have always felt that if other average people, with
average intelligence can do it, then so can I.
There is not a week that goes by when I don’t wonder
to myself, how some people missed the memo?
I am a very un-opinionated person. ( I have no… Continue reading
“Formal education makes you a living if you become
Self Educated you can create a Fortuneâ€
Jim Rohn
I try to schedule time every day for “Self Educationâ€
I normally take one topic at a time, like Facebook
Marketing, Twitter, YouTube, Amazon Kindle,
or whatever and read and study as much as I possibly
can on that 1 topic. Then put into action what I
learn, tweak and move forward. Over the years this
has become part of my rountine. At any time if you
ask what subject I am focussing on, I can tell you.
Sometimes a spend a few weeks on a subject, sometimes
months. I know that if I
“Knowledge without action leads to self-delusionâ€
I have heard it said that we are all 5 books away from
becoming an expert on any subject.
So my question… Continue reading
I am sure most of you have heard the story Zig Ziglar
tells about how most people get done more the week
before they go on vacation than they do the rest of the
year.
He says why not go to Hawaii every week? Meaning
why not Focus and get all you can get done every day
and every week you live?
So true!
Human nature has always been fascinating to me.
There is so much truth in the statement “Look at what
everyone else is doing and do the oppositeâ€.
I think it is human nature at this time of the year is to
stop, or at least slow down and evaluate our business
and other aspects of our life. At this time of the year
more than any other we probably ask ourselves serious
questions, and are not… Continue reading
