In 2000 I wrote the article below. I am so glad everyone got the message LOL. Many “Leaders” today have become politically correct WIMPS that listen to their TEAM MEMBERS go on, and on and on about the same challenges they were having six months ago. They really don’t know how to challenge and inspire people so instead of telling them the truth, they listen to the same people with the same problems until someone comes along with a little better product or comp plan and “raids their downline.” Wimpy leaders have their downlines raided. My plan was to get up around 10:00 or 11:00, and video tape until Dawn & I needed to leave around 4:00 to meet my middle daughter and her family at one of our favorite hole in the wall BBQ joints.

At the time of this writing I have been very busy working on projects for consulting clients and the holidays. I had not been on Facebook or checked my email in several days, and when I did log on it was like a bomb with Phil Roberson’s picture had exploded on Facebook. Thousands of post of support for Phil, the show, and outrage directed at the A&E network for suspending him.

Ten years ago I can remember a conversation I had in Orlando, Florida with a marketing friend of mine.
The topic, when did it become ok to blatantly lie to people in your marketing and promotions?
Ten years later and it is worse than it has ever been. I had a conversation this week with a popular trainer who said Dale, if you don't promise people $10,000 a month in 30 days or less you can't even get their attention.
That is one of the reason you see all these mlm guru trainers promising people they will teach them how to sponsor 30 people in 30 days and other outlandish claims. Most people have to know that is not true, don’t they?
